Hi Guys! I’m coming back with some new recipes. It’s the middle of winter in Sydney but the weather is lovely! Comparing to last year, this year is much warmer. Days are short – it’s still winter, but never gray and rainy. The best feeling ever when the Sun lights wake you up every day!
Yesterday I baked this lovely Apple Tart and It’s delicious, I had some already – it tastes really good!
The recipe is very easy!
Ingredients:
- 2 pilled apples, thinly sliced
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 1 tbs butter
- some lemon juice
Dough:
- cup wholemeal flour
- 4 tbs sugar (ideally cane sugar I used white sugar)
- 100g cold butter
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 10 ml cold water
- pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 210 ºC. Place the apple, sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a small bowl and mix to combine.
Sieve flour into the bowl. Grate hard butter into the flour. You may need a little flour on your fingers for this. Using a knife, mix grated butter into the flour. Add sufficient water and mix to a soft dough with the knife. Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly. Roll out the dough to circle.
Arrange apples on the dough, leave 2 cm of dough around to cover the apples. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 35-40 minutes approx.
ENJOY!
